  1. Draw a big G to represent one gallon.
  2. Draw four Q's to represent four quarts equaling one gallon.
  3. In each quart, draw two P's to represent two pints equaling one quart.
  4. In each pint, draw two C's to represent two cups equaling one pint.
  5. In each cup, there are 8 fluid ounces.

Then, he goes through seven practice conversions:

  1. Two gallons equals 16 pints.
  2. Six quarts equals 12 pints.
  3. Three gallons equals 12 quarts.
  4. 24 fluid ounces equals 3 cups.
  5. Five pints equals 10 cups.
  6. Eight cups equals 64 fluid ounces.
  7. Thirty-two pints equals 4 gallons.

Mr. J encourages viewers to use either the notes or the visual aid to help them with their conversions. By following these steps, viewers can easily convert customary units of capacity.
