There are 3 areas of questions. In most classes, Mastery requires 100%. Critical Thinking requires 75% or more. And Honors is optional and may be skipped, but requires 75% or more. All questions are clear and are not trick questions. Pre-Questions from a previous lesson may also be required.

Objective: In this study guide, students will review and practice Spanish Alphabet and Pronunciation Study Guide in preparation for the assessment.

Mastery

  • Be prepared to identify pronunciation differences and similarities between English and Spanish

Critical Thinking

  • Compare the sound of the Spanish word to a similar word. 
  • For example, when pronouncing Hola does is sound more like Hall-a or O-la?

Honors (Optional)

  • Know details about Spain from video
  • Know tricks to roll your R

Assessment Details

  • The assessment will consist of multiple-choice questions in all three areas.
  • Students must demonstrate a high level of mastery to pass the assessment.
  • Students who do not pass may wait some time and try again.
  • The assessment is pass/fail.
  • The assessment will be divided into three areas: Mastery, Critical Thinking, and Honors (Optional).
  • Each area will be scored separately.
  • A passing score requires a high level of mastery.
  • The Honors section is optional and is not required for a passing grade.
  • By completing this study guide, students will be able to review and practice Spanish Alphabet and Pronunciation Study Guide in preparation for the assessment. They will also have a clear understanding of the different areas of the assessment and what is required to pass.
