Illegal Discrimination and Harrasement at Work

Video about when discrimination and harassment at work rise to an illegal offense.

Discrimination and harassment continue to be prevalent issues in the workplace, with bullying being a growing concern. A recent worldwide survey by Monster.com found that 64% of workers surveyed reported being bullied, while 16% reported witnessing it happen to others. There are various forms of discrimination and harassment, and many states and countries have laws protecting individuals against such conduct based on factors such as race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, disability, age, national origin, and pregnancy. Discrimination laws also prohibit harassment, and retaliation against individuals who participate in investigations or lawsuits is unlawful in many jurisdictions. These laws also protect those who oppose employment practices that they believe discriminate against individuals.
